Paddington 2 Movie Review:
Paddington 2 is the second movie in the Paddington live-action movie series, voiced by Ben Whishaw (Also Q from the new James Bond series), is set to release in South African Ster Kinekor cinemas 01 December 2017.
For Paddington 2 we join Paddington; the Bear! On a coming of age adventure through London as he strives to acquire his aunt Lucy a present for her birthday, but things don’t go all according to plan and Paddington soon finds himself in trouble with a rather mad actor (Played by a still charming and still very smooth Hugh Grant) whom also has his eye on the same gift, though for more nefarious purposes.
This charming and cute movie makes for a great excuse to take either your young kids; that isn’t glued to their gaming screens or as it turns out your older grandparents, out for a fun and interesting British adventure with the cutest and most adorable live-action bear ever!
For the fans of the original Paddington Bear, this is an improvement; building a deeper story with many of the characters from the original and expanding on Paddington’s relationship with his adopted family: The Browns. Their expanding relationship makes for a dear and heartwarming story, one that even had my choke up from time to time.
If you have time this December, it’s a real feel-good movie without the drab or slap-stick humour of most American feel-goods or animations coming out in the last quarter of this year, is polite enough to still ask you stay, but won’t get worked up if you don’t want to.
